FORCE REPAIR Partners Histocell and Vicomtech Participate in BIOSPAIN 2026
FORCE REPAIR was represented at BIOSPAIN 2026 in Bilbao, Spain, where project partners Histocell and Vicomtech contributed to discussions and activities highlighting innovation, collaboration and talent development in the biotechnology and life sciences sectors.
BIOSPAIN is one of Europe's largest biotechnology events organised by a national bioindustry association and a major international meeting point for companies, researchers, investors and other stakeholders across the biotech ecosystem. With a significant proportion of international delegates and exhibitors, the event provides opportunities to exchange knowledge, build partnerships and explore emerging developments in the sector.
The 2026 edition took place at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre in Barakaldo, near Bilbao, a city recognised for its dynamic innovation ecosystem and growing biotechnology sector.
FORCE REPAIR project partner, Histocell, participated as an exhibitor, presenting its capabilities as a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) specialising in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. Its portfolio includes developments involving mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), secretomes, exosomes and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), as well as medical device manufacturing.
In addition to showcasing its technological expertise, Histocell contributed to the BIOSPAIN 2026 Talent Day, where the company's Human Resources Manager participated in discussions on attracting STEM professionals, strengthening connections between academia and the life sciences industry, and retaining specialised talent. The collaboration within the European FORCE REPAIR project was highlighted as an example of how research and industry can work together to advance innovation.
Vicomtech, another FORCE REPAIR partner, also took part in the conference, further strengthening the project's presence at this international biotechnology gathering.
The participation of FORCE REPAIR partners at BIOSPAIN 2026 reflects the importance of collaboration across research, technology development and industry. By connecting scientific expertise with industrial capabilities and talent, initiatives such as FORCE REPAIR contribute to the wider European innovation ecosystem and support the translation of research results into practical applications.
